*Job Overview* We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Formwork Carpenter for ongoing commercial concrete projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with: * Formwork installation and stripping * Concrete placement and pours * Slab, wall, and footing work * Reading drawings and layouts * Working safely and efficiently on active job sites. This role involves constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork for concrete structures, ensuring precision and safety on every project. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment operation, blueprint reading skills, and familiarity with various hand and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including restoration, renovation, masonry, flooring installation, and concrete finishing. *Responsibilities* * Construct and install formwork for concrete structures following schematics and blueprints * Operate heavy equipment safely to assist in formwork placement and removal * Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately * Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, assemble, and secure formwork components * Perform rebar installation as required for structural integrity * Execute concrete finishing tasks to meet project specifications * Conduct restoration and renovation work as needed on existing structures * Apply caulking techniques for sealing joints or gaps in formwork or related structures * Perform welding tasks when necessary to reinforce formwork systems * Handle heavy lifting safely during the transportation and assembly of materials * Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency *Requirements* * Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter or in related construction roles with knowledge of carpentry, masonry, or concrete forming * Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction equipment operation * Previous commercial concrete/formwork experience * Concrete placement experience is mandatory * Valid PPE and reliable transportation * Ability to work physically demanding shifts * Team-oriented with strong work ethic * Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately * Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery * Experience with rebar installation, concrete finishing, flooring installation, caulking, and restoration projects is preferred * Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights if required * Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail * Valid construction certifications or licenses are a plus but not mandatory This position is integral to the successful completion of our construction projects.
